In February 2016, TWO.AM will be 2 years in the making and a personal take on the journey seemed apt. Two years in and I believe the agile and personal approach to clients and projects have not faltered and still the angle we believe sets us apart in this highly competitive space.
Alongside growth came various challenges that made this start-up feel all the more real in only its second operating year.
In this year where we had to say a heartfelt goodbye to our starting team members as well as a much-loved French intern. Retaining our culture was key, as we welcomed very excited and talented new creatives into the studio around September. Change, although sometimes tough, is crucial in driving innovation and fresh creativity.
With numerous new client accounts we steamrolled into the last quarter of the year with 3 new exciting clients: Crossley & Webb (for the car fanatics); our first global client Outform (Miami based shopper marketing solutions company) and also our big win for the year in Hasbro South Africa.
Within this specific portfolio of brands, it also brought the need for a bigger social & content team and stressed the importance of localized content feeding from local consumer insights. Selling toys in the build-up to Christmas seemed easy enough but insights into local parents’ buying & online patterns were crucial statistics that this Swiss based head office welcomed.
Continuing to do great work on existing brands was an equally important goal, with various online projects and finally moving into a fully integrated campaign for the 5th and final installment of Red Bull’s local street dance competition, Beat Battle, made our channel agnostic approach really come to life.
Other highlights on this front would be the consistently fresh take on Col’Cacchio’s social accounts, which got us entered into and winning a couple of awards for this brave client.
Keeping our bar fridge stocked,we were instrumental in the migration and re-launch of the ‘Legacy Johannisberger’ wine to a brand new & younger target audience.
Trying to do our bit for the less fortunate we hosted a fundraiser event where around 60 women attended and raised funds in aid of “Caring for girls” with the team from The 12-in-12 Challenge. Please read more about what these inspiring girls do here http://the12in12challenge.com/
TWO.AM’s positive growth also can’t be claimed without a heartfelt thanks all our partners. We are still a relatively small team and “specialist partners” are integral to the success of our business, keeping our workflow output consistent and quality levels at the expert level our clients require. Looking forward to some interesting collaborations in the new year that will add value to our clients but also upskill our own offerings.
It seems quite surreal that another year has passed, when things seem hectic it is great to be able to take a breather and it is with contentment I look back at campaign wrap-ups and fun staff day pictures.
We look forward to a year of ambitious goals, new adventures and partnerships with lots of creative work we can be proud of.
