Col’Cacchio pizzeria, a name synonomous with Italian-inspired food, for the past 22 years, tasked us with telling the Col’Cacchio pizzeria story in a beautiful and modern way, through a comprehensive website redesign that incorporated the offline look and feel.


The idea was to bring the Col’Cacchio instore experience to life, online. Our approach to the redesign of the Col’Cacchio website encompassed three major criteria; firstly we needed to make the site usable, and accessible, and adapt the content for the device through focused User Experience Design. Secondly, we had to design and create the site in a way that allowed Col’Cacchio to differentiate itself from its competitors, through the use of design, and technology. Finally, the site needed to be more than just beautiful; it needed to be informative and tell the Col’Cacchio story.


We needed to be playing in every environment, with an offering that was specific to each. For this reason, we decided on the use of adaptive user interface design, where we put the content first and adapted the information for every device.
Understanding how the user interacted with the Col’Cacchio website and the hierachy of importance in content was crucial. For mobile, the Rewards Program, Store Locator, and an easy navigational menu, were the main points of call. For tablet and desktop, we had richer and more interactive content. 


The Col’Cacchio consumer is very much of the digital age. It was important to make use of relevant technolgies that provide convenience aswell as an aesthetic boost. Early on we identified the need to make the website accessible to the market on their terms.We brought authentic brand feeling across to the online elements through interactive imagery that told the story behind the ingredients, coupled with a #FoodWithaStory Intagram feed that brought the consumer story to life.For the platform to be truly device agnostic, we built bespoke content management systems for desktop and mobile. These systems allow for the input of unique copy and imagery for every item on the mobile and desktop versions of the site all seemlessly integrated into one CMS.
